At Derwentwater Marine at Portinscale is a RYA recognised sailing centre which also offers tuition in climbing, ghyll scrambling, abseiling and guided hill walking. The Howtown Activity Centre by the steamer pier on the eastern shore of Ullswater also offers tuition in sailing, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and ghyll scrambling. Amenities You
